Higher Learning Commission
Coconino 社区 College is pleased to maintain accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission. The college demonstrates that it meets HLC’s Criteria for 认证 and Assumed Practices and is engaged in continuous improvement. There are many kinds of accreditation for colleges and universities in the United States; however, regional accreditation with one of the six organizations authorized by the U.S. Department of Education is the most important to ensure transfer of credits, 联邦财政援助, and future job prospects. 学生 who select a community college or university with regional accreditation can expect educational opportunities that meet the high standards of teaching and learning “best practices” in Higher Education and that provide student services to assist students in reaching their career and educational goals. Arizona State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (AZ-SARA)
SARA is a voluntary agreement among its member states and U.S. territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance-education courses and programs. It is intended to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by postsecondary institutions outside of the state in which they reside. CCC is currently authorized by AZ-SARA through September, 2022.
Arizona Board of Nursing (AZBN)
The Arizona Board of Nursing regulates Nursing and related programs throughout the state. CCC’s Registered Nursing (RN) program is currently approved through May, 2025, and the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program is currently approved through November, 2021.
American Medical Technologists (AMT)
American Medical Technologists has been partnering with educational institutions to certify health care professionals since 1939. CCC’s Medical Assistant and Medical Office Management programs are currently authorized by AMT through September, 2022.
Commission on 认证 of Allied 健康 Education Programs (CAAHEP)
The Commission on 认证 of Allied 健康 Education Programs is the largest programmatic accreditor of the health sciences professions. In collaboration with its Committees on 认证, CAAHEP reviews and accredits over 2100 individual education programs in 32 health science occupations. CAAHEP accredited programs are assessed on an ongoing basis to assure that they meet the Standards and Guidelines of each profession. CCC’s Emergency Medical Services – Paramedic program is currently accredited by CAAHEP through July, 2024.
